Mommy’s Mental Matters is a company dedicated to supporting the wellness and mental well-being of mothers. The brand was originally created with the vision of forming a supportive community where mothers could speak openly and candidly about their experiences with motherhood. The goal was to provide a safe space where women could seek encouragement, advice, and understanding from fellow mothers.
The inspiration for Mommy’s Mental Matters is deeply personal. After the birth of my daughter, I experienced severe depression and anxiety. During that time, I often struggled to find healthy ways to manage my chronic anxiety and overwhelming sadness. In an effort to care for myself, I began setting aside just 15 minutes of quiet time each day. One evening, I lit a simple candle and spent that time in meditation. That small, intentional moment of peace made a profound difference, and over time I noticed my spirit beginning to lift.
Motivated by that experience, I began researching and learning how to make candles myself. What started as a personal practice soon grew into something more. I began creating candles for close friends, coworkers, and family members. As interest grew, I expanded the product line to include handcrafted body sugar scrubs and body butters.
While products like these are commonly found in large retail spaces, Mommy’s Mental Matters is rooted in a deeper purpose.
